Marketing shouldn’t feel like decoding ancient hieroglyphics or sitting through a corporate TED Talk you didn’t ask for. At OSYD Marketing, we don’t hide behind fancy buzzwords or fluffy “strategy speak.”
We talk straight. We build things that work. We focus on real-world outcomes, not slick jargon that sounds smart but says nothing.
Here are five marketing buzzwords we’ve sent to the shadow realm
1️⃣ Synergy
The Offender:
“Our holistic solutions create alignment and synergy across your business ecosystem…”
Translation:
“We hope these words distract you from the fact we haven’t told you anything.”
What we say instead:
We work with you and get your teams aligned, simple as that. Great results come from people communicating, not “synergising.”
2️⃣ Leverage
The Offender:
“We’ll leverage your omnichannel presence to amplify brand equity.”
What we say instead:
We use what you already have and make it work harder.
3️⃣ Omni-Channel
The Offender:
“To maximise cross-platform omni-channel touchpoints…”
It’s like someone swallowed a thesaurus and panicked.
What we say instead:
We make sure your customers see you everywhere that matters.
Simple. Focused. Effective.
4️⃣ Value Proposition
The Offender:
“We’ll refine your core value proposition to enhance market positioning.”
Sounds like something you’d hear right before a $40k consulting invoice lands in the inbox 💸
What we say instead:
We clearly explain why customers should pick you.
5️⃣ Paradigm Shift
The Offender:
“We’re engineering a paradigm shift in the market.”
No. You changed a button colour on your website.
What we say instead:
We improve what’s working and change what isn’t. That’s it.
